WHAT WE DO
We are an interdisciplinary research hub for the critical examination of housing policy, neighborhood change and community development across metropolitan regions. We promote housing as a human right to an adequate standard of living free from discriminatory and predatory practices. We focus on interrogating the social, economic, legal, and policy impacts of housing policy on urban communities. We facilitate community dialogue and engagement around housing policy and community development responses and provide technical assistance to cities to create equitable and sustainable public policy.
Property turnover is a significant predictor of rising evictions.
Community and supportive services fall short in helping residents when they move.
