- Biography
As the administrative specialist for the Urban Studies Institute, Elizabeth primarily supports the Institute’s implementation of the University’s strategic plan. Her work is primarily in the areas of Marketing/Communications, Academic Program Support, Operations, and Events.
Her graduate work touched on the ecosystem services of green roofs while creating a green roof inventory and testing a framework for workforce housing as a tool to increase the ability for those working in the city to live there. Talking about nature-based solutions and the application of traditional knowledge to mitigate climate change gets her more excited than football.
Elizabeth has been bouncing around rental homes in Southeast Atlanta with her family for almost two decades. Her current “hobby” is working with a team to support the evolution of a privately held experimental farm to one owned by the City and managed by a non-profit. She is also a member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, a global network of activists working to spread awareness of the climate crisis and building a twenty-first-century movement for solutions.
